People and Characters/ Artist research. Alex Pardee

As part of my research for "people and characters" and my upcoming exhibition I wanted to look at the work of Alex Pardee. His work is very expressive and colourful, it often has a very gory look to it. He uses a mix of traditional and digital techniques. He colours his work by just splashing inks across the line drawing. His line work is often very detailed and I like how distorted it looks.

I wanted to look at a set of his work called “Night of the Treeple” as I will be illustrating a tree for our show. The illustrations are very cool and interesting to look at. I don’t know if my drawings will be as dark as these but they were still good to look at. Below are some examples.
