Digital manipulation/ Artist research. Alexander Jansson

I wanted to look a group of illustrators who use digital media in their work. The first illustrator I want to look at is Alexander Jansson. I’m not too sure how I feel about his work but there is something I like about it. I can’t find out how he makes his illustrations but I think there are a lot of textures used and maybe even photographs. he says its digital mixed media so I assume that means he uses a bit of everything. I like the use of colour, his work has a dark/creepy look to it, the illustrations also look washed out and old. The illustrations almost look like distorted photos in places, I think this is an interesting way of approaching things. I find the small characters to be very interesting and fit the style of the worlds. Below and to the left are some example of his work.

I like the little characters in this illustration

I like the washed out colour pallet in both illustrations
