The Book of Drawings. Artist research/ Laurence James Richardson



Moving on to a more contemporary Illustrator I am going to look at the work of Laurence James Richardson. He works in all different mediums but a lot of his work appears to be done in watercolours. I like some of his more sketchy and experimental work. I think he does a very good job of capturing the motion and character of the animals. It appears attitudes have changed in recent times allowing illustrators to  experiment more. It’s good to see that natural history illustration is still around today.
